Description
NY based busy family is in search for a wonderful, long-term, live-in travel family assistant (FA) to start by March 1, 2022. The main and only responsibility of the FA revolves around the care of their 6-year old boy. This includes supervising the little boy’s online learning, help with 2nd grade homework, his laundry, keeping his room organized, toys cleaned, making him healthy meals etc. The most important thing is that he is kept safe but the parents would love to find someone who can create fun learning and physical activities to stimulate learning, growth and a passion for life.
Flexibility is essential for this position, especially when the family is traveling. The FA will need to have a valid passport and be comfortable traveling internationally with the family. Since the FA will need the flexibility to travel she will not be able to have any pets. The two main US locations will be in NY most of the year and at the family’s lake house in MI for the summers.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- All childcare related duties
- Pet care (walking, feeding small dog, taking to vet appointments etc.)
- Teaching, tutoring & supervision of school work
- Cooking (for little boy)
- Driving (must have a great driving record)
- Overnight care for little boy
- Light housekeeping (picking up after little boy and yourself)
- Scheduling activities
- Keeping up CPR/First Aid certifications
It's important that the FA is energetic and is comfortable around new people, cultures and places. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience or some college and be comfortable swimming and doing a lot of outdoor activities with the little boy. We are hoping to find a great match for this family who will be with them for many years.
