The HM will manage the family’s main home in Austin, TX with light travel to their second home in Washington state. Travel will typically involve flying from Austin to Washington a few days before the family leaves to ensure their lake house in Washington is ready for their arrival; and then closing the home in Washington after the family returns back home to Austin.
We are looking for energetic candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this position long-term. Candidates should be willing to do daily light housekeeping duties, manage the housekeepers, landscapers, vendors, contractors and learn the family's routines and preferences to run an organized smooth household. The family is looking for the right person to train who has some knowledge and experience with household management, but most importantly, someone who loves working in the home and can learn quickly and work smart. Candidates who are self-starters and who are able to learn to manage every aspect of both homes’ cleaning, maintenance, organization, supplies etc. will be considered. This is a great opportunity for nannies or housekeepers who want to further their domestic careers into household management.
The HM’s work schedule is full-time M-F 9am-5pm with the flexibility to stay later or come in earlier as well as travel to Washington. Candidates should be COVID-19 vaccinated as requested by the family.

One of the most important qualities is ATTENTION TO DETAIL. The HM should be proactive and over time learn to organize and manage each home efficiently. Ideally, over time, the family should rarely have to change a light bulb, soap dispenser or run out of toilet paper. They would like to train the right person to create a clean, stress-free home where they can relax and spend more quality time together as a family.
