Description

Executive couple with a newborn is in need of a FT, live-out Head Executive Housekeeper (HEH) to start in January 2021. The family has a large ranch in Johnson City, Texas located about 50 miles outside of Austin. The HEH will lead and manage a staff of 3 other housekeepers. It’s essential that the HEH be able to keep the home clean and sanitized throughout the day to keep the newborn and the family safe during this time.

The HEH’s work schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional weekends when the couple is entertaining. Hours are 8am-4pm with no travel needed. Flexibility to stay later or come in earlier when needed is essential.

The ideal candidate is drama-free and can work well as a team player and under the family’s household manager and assistant. We are looking for HEH’s who have a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience, a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families, a positive attitude and great communication skills. Spanish speaking is a plus, but the housekeeper must be able to speak English and legally work in the US. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position and schedule for many years.

Salary is $90k/year, based on experience and long-term tenure with health insurance.

Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • All major housekeeping
  • Leading team of housekeepers by example
  • Managing schedule and duties of all housekeepers
  • Training new housekeepers
  • Contact between the housekeepers and family’s assistant
  • Laundry & ironing
  • Managing supplies (restocking, purchasing etc.)
  • Helping caterers during parties
  • Assist other household staff as needed
  • Deep cleaning
  • Light cooking
  • Ordering supplies from Amazon
  • Organizing
  • Running errands

One of the most important qualities in the HEH is that they have a great attitude with a strong work ethic. The HEH should be able to work independently and around the family. Other qualities include great communication, organization and people skills. The HEH is responsible for creating an environment of hard work, trust and respect as her role as the head executive housekeeper.

This is a local and national search open to those with experience in a private estate as an Executive/Lead/Head Housekeeper. Long-term tenure in a current or previous position is required, as well as excellent verifiable references.
