Description
Adventurous family is currently in search for a wonderful live out Family Assistant for a busy family to start ASAP. The main responsibility of the FA is to closely watch and care for the youngest child who is 4. His older siblings are ages 12, 17 and the 19 year old is in college.
The FA can choose to travel with the family or manage things in NY while they're gone on various trips including Montana, Caribbean, Europe and summers on a lake in a resort town of Michigan.
The family will spend a great deal of time in NYC around Sept-June. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Cooking (for children)
Running errands
Overnight care if parents are traveling
Working well with other household staff and nanny
Laundry & Light housekeeping
Dog care (pet sitting, walking, feeding etc.)
Flexibility is essential based on the family's needs. The FA should be confident in her abilities to adjust to new situations and go with the flow. Ideal candidates have a great attitude and might love to travel and experience new things. Being socially comfortable around the family, new people and places are crucial. Those who truly love children and regular changes in routines will thrive in this position.
Once the FA learns the family's busy schedules, likes and dislikes, she should be able to stay busy without being told what to do. At the same time, she should always embrace both positive and negative feedback without taking it personally. The family understands there's a learning curve so the FA will have plenty of time to be trained and learn how things go.
