Description
Mature retired couple with a well trained Viszla is in need of a long-term FT experienced Executive Housekeeper (EH) to start ASAP. The EH’s work schedule is M-F 10am-5pm with occasional help on the weekends for a few of hours (if it works with the EH’s personal schedule) and the flexibility to stay later or to come in earlier with advanced notice.
When the couple is in town, the EH will need to prioritize their needs and schedule preferences. However, when the couple is traveling or out of town for extended time periods of time, the EH will need to be available to house/dog sit, manage the home and keep it clean and organized. Deep cleaning projects should be done while the couple is gone and the EH should keep the couple informed of these projects by sending photos and being in close communication with household projects and the overall maintenance and care of the Viszla and the home etc.
The ideal candidate has a warm, friendly and happy personality. She should love dogs and be confident in dog sitting when the couple is traveling. We are looking for EH’s who have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, long-term tenure with previous families, a positive attitude and great communication skills in English.
Private 1-bedroom casita provided for out-of-town candidates or local candidates who want to live-in.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- All major housekeeping in 6500 sq. ft. home and 2000 sq. ft. guest house
- Create a housekeeping manual (daily checklists, quarterly/annual deep cleaning etc.)
- Running errands or grocery shopping as needed
- Laundry & ironing
- Managing cleaning supplies (restocking, purchasing etc.)
- Deep cleaning
- Dog care (walking dog, pet sitting, feeding etc.)
- Organizing
- Driving couple to and from airport
- Plant care
- Overnight dog care
One of the most important qualities in the EH is that she is honest and understands the importance of paying attention to detail. The EH should be able to work alone or around the couple. Other qualities include great organization and people skills. The EH is responsible for creating a clean and organized household while giving the couple as much privacy as possible. Over time, she should not have to be told what to do or how to do it but manage her own cleaning schedule and maintenance.
This is a local and national search open to those with long-term tenure in a current or previous position as well as excellent verifiable references. Since this is a live-out position, the EH will have to find her own living quarters if she is not local to the area.
