Description
Fully staffed 35,000 sq. ft. estate is in need of a Head Executive Housekeeper who would manage four other housekeepers to start ASAP. The housekeeper's work schedule is M-F and the hours are 8am-5pm. Flexibility to stay later when needed or work days off on occasion, as well as some holidays, is essential.
The ideal candidate is drama-free and can work well as a team player with the other housekeepers and household staff. We are looking for an EH who have a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience and/or training, a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families, a positive attitude and great communication skills. Spanish speaking is a plus. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position and schedule for many years. The schedule is not flexible and most likely will not change in the near future. This is a national search for the right candidate.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Major housekeeping
Food prep (when Chef is not working)
Laundry
Ironing
Serving at formal and informal parties
Flower arrangements
Holiday decorating
Experience with cleaning fine art
The EH will be working under the Estate Manager who treats the staff very well and they all work hard as a team. It's crucial that the candidate be able to take directions well, communicate clearly and work hard while giving the principal's family their privacy. When the principal is entertaining there may be some well-known guests in attendance. The housekeeper must be discrete and professional at all times and may be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement to maintain the privacy of the principal's family and guests.
