Description
Very busy couple that resides in Wichita, Kansas for about 7 months out of the year is looking for a live-in domestic individual or couple to start ASAP. The House Manager (HM) would have their own 1300 square foot 1 bedroom, 2-bathroom house in Wichita with full basic amenities such as furniture, kitchen, cable television, washer/dryer etc. Both the guesthouse and main house are on 550 acres with a beautiful lake and a lot of exotic animals. There is already staff to care for the exotic animals, which include zebras, camels, miniature donkeys, ponies, horses, llamas, long-horn steers, buffalo and watusi...it's like living in a safari! The HM's schedule will be M-F 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm with occasional help on a Saturday when the employers are entertaining with advanced notice.
During the winter months the couple lives in their home in Sarasota, Florida so the HM would travel with them and would also have their own private living quarters in the garage apartment. The DDA can provide photos of all the living quarters and home to qualified candidates.
One of the most important duties is to love and care for the employer's "children" which include 3 dogs (1 Labrador, 2 Mini Schnauzers) and 2 cats. The pets require full attention and care especially when the employers travel. For this reason the domestic couple cannot have their own pets. Other duties include but are not limited to the following:
*Full housekeeping for the employer's 9,960 square foot home in Wichita 7 months out of the year. (The owner only use 1/4 of the house)
*Full housekeeping for the employer's 7,846 square foot home in Sarasota about 5 months out of the year during the winter months.
*Light cooking and serving
*Organizing
*Driving/Chauffeuring
*All laundry related duties
*Running errands
*Scheduling and working with vendors
*House and pet sitting
The HM must love animals and have experience managing and cleaning a large estate with excellent job-related references. It's also important that the HM is in great physical condition in order to do the work required. This position is a long-term commitment and top candidates will need to pass a vigorous screening and background check with a good credit score.
