Description
We are conducting a search for an experienced domestic hands-on couple. The couple would be responsible for maintaining the estate owner's house, two guest homes and the adjoining landscaping. One person would perform the role of building and grounds maintenance, general handyman work and concierge services; the other person would do moderate housekeeping and some cooking for the family of the estate. The couple would need to keep the buildings and grounds in impeccable condition. Other duties would include, but are not limited to the following:
Grocery shopping
Running errands
Moderate housekeeping
Airport pick up/drop off
Pet care
Serving food and drinks
The current schedule for the couple is M-F 8am-5pm with occasional weekends. During the winter months the owners typically have family visiting over Christmas and other holidays so the couple would need to be flexible to work at these times. When the clients and their guests are not in residence the hours are about 60 hours for the couple (combined) M-F. However, when the clients or guests are in residence (which is the majority of the year), they would need daily concierge services by the couple. Ideally, the couple will learn how to take ownership of this position and make it their own without being told how or what to do. They would work directly under the principal and the other staff includes another FT personal assistant and PT chef. The estate staff all works as a team and the owners and other staff are all treated like a family and take pride in a job well done. It's crucial that the caretaker couple have a great attitude, works well with others and has a strong work ethic with the flexibility to work until the job gets done.
The caretaker's home is a beautiful, fully furnished two bedroom two bath with 1600 sq ft, a full kitchen, dining room and family room. Caretaker's can have small well-behaved pets and must be able to commit long-term. The estate is privately owned on approximately 20 acres.
This position is for caretakers who are in excellent physical condition and who enjoy an active lifestyle. We will be interviewing experienced caretaker couples who have filled out Domestic Applications immediately.
