DDA is in search for a wonderful Family Assistant for a family with two young ladies to start ASAP. The girls are ages 9 and 13. We are looking for a very flexible FA who is able to travel with the family as needed and work late hours. Every week the FA's schedule will be a little different. An example of her schedule could be starting between 9-11am until 7pm M-F. The ideal FA will be flexible to work a 40-hour workweek and weekends as needed with advanced notice. In addition to travel the FA should also be able to care for the girls if both parents need to travel for a few days. The family also has two medium sized senior dogs that will need to be cared for as well.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Childcare, homework help
Personal Assistant duties for parents
Administrative duties
Household management
Working with contractors and vendors
Traveling with family as needed
Dog sitting, walking, feeding
Cooking for girls
Laundry for family
Family's ironing
Running errands
Grocery shopping
Driving children
Organizing
Ideal candidates would be those who have been both a professional nanny and a personal assistant. This is much more than a nanny job as there are many more responsibilities. The FA must have a good driving record and the family will be providing a vehicle for her for on-duty use. We are looking for mature, reliable candidates with previous long-term tenure in a similar position with excellent references. Currently our search is for local candidates in the Austin area.
Most importantly the FA must have a strong work ethic, be able to follow directions well and be a reliable help. She should not need to be told what to do but be able to anticipate her responsibilities independently once she is familiar with her duties and the family’s needs. The family is looking for someone who will be like a member of their family for many years. If the FA loves to cook and the parents like her cooking, a larger salary will be considered.
