Description
Busy family is in need of an energetic, live-in Executive Housekeeper to start ASAP. This is a formal household, so the EH must be able to keep the home in pristine condition while on duty. In addition to the daily cleaning and organizing, the EH's other main responsibility is to help care for the youngest child who is 4 when the other nanny is busy. The EH will spend half of her time caring for him and other half will be spent doing the daily housekeeping duties. It's important that the EH have previous nanny or child caregiving experience and can work both independently and as a team.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Main housekeeping
Indoor/Outdoor cleaning
Home organizing
Babysitting
Driving
Cooking (for 4 year old)
Running errands
Personal Assistant duties for parents
Household management
Helping with parties, decorating, entertaining etc.
Managing home vendors
Working well with other household staff
Family's laundry
Traveling with family
Dog care (pet sitting, walking, feeding etc.)
Flexibility is essential based on the family's needs. The EH's weekly schedule is Tuesdays-Saturdays approximately 10am-8pm averaging 40 hours a week. When the family is home the EH will have her own private 1000 sq. ft. guest house (across the street from the family's home) with a vehicle available for both on and off duty use. When traveling with the family, the family will provide her with her own private guest quarters or hotel room.
The EH needs to have a Passport and be flexible to travel with the family throughout the year. She should be confident in her abilities to adjust to new situations and go with the flow. Ideal candidates are those who are energetic, have a great attitude and love to travel and experience new things. Being socially comfortable around the family, new people and places is crucial. Those who truly love children, have a lot of energy and can follow instructions well will thrive in this position.
Once the EH learns the family's busy schedules, likes and dislikes, she should be able to stay busy without being told what to do. At the same time, she should always embrace both positive and negative feedback without taking it personal. The family understands there's a learning curve so the EH will have plenty of time to be trained and learn the routines.We are hoping to find a great match for this family who will be with them for many years.
