We are currently in search for a wonderful, long-term, rotating nanny for a busy family of three to start at the end of September 2020. The main and only responsibility of the nanny revolves around the care of their 3-year old boy. This includes the little boy’s laundry, keeping his room organized, toys cleaned, making him healthy meals etc. The most important thing is that he is kept safe but the parents would love to find someone who can create fun learning and physical activities to stimulate learning, growth and a passion for life.
Flexibility and a sense of adventure are essential for this position. There will be a lot of travel so the nanny will need to be able to be comfortable and able to adapt to unfamiliar situations. While the family’s primary residency is in Austin, they also have a home in Aspen and a ranch in Marble Falls. The good thing is that the family already has another FT nanny. This allows each nanny to rotate their work schedules so that the family is always covered and the nannies get enough time off and are not over worked.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
All childcare related duties
Cooking (for little boy)
Driving (must have a great driving record)
Team player with the other nanny, parents and household staff
Overnight care for little boy
Traveling internationally with the family
Light housekeeping (picking up after little boy and yourself)
Scheduling activities
Keeping up CPR/First Aid certifications
The nanny should be confident in her abilities to adjust to new situations and go with the flow. Ideal candidates are those who are energetic, have a great attitude, love to travel and experience new things. Being socially comfortable around the family, new people and places are crucial. Those who truly love children and travel will thrive in this position.
Since there are two FT nannies, the nannies will rotate schedules every week. One week the nanny will work Monday with Tuesday and Wednesday off and work the rest of the week/weekend. The following week the nanny will have Friday-Sunday off. This will be the schedule for both nannies so that each nanny will have a 3-day weekend every other week.
The live-in nanny will have her own private 1200 sq. ft. 1/bed 1/bath garage apartment that is fully furnished with all appliances and a kitchenette.
Ideal candidates will have a college degree and be a good swimmer. Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus, but not required. We are hoping to find a great match for this family who will be with them for many years. This is an incredible opportunity for those who love children, like staying active and love to travel.
