Description
DDA is in search for a private chef for a busy family of six. The family has two homes with a chef’s kitchen in each so the chef would have the option to cook on site or to cook from home and bring it over every day throughout the week. Ideal candidates will have a degree, training or understanding of nutrition although it's not a requirement. The most important thing is that the chef has a passion for health and nutrition and will create healthy meal menus each week for the family that both the children and parents will enjoy.
This position is for local and out-of-state candidates who currently live in Austin, TX or who are willing to relocate to Austin. The chef will also do all of the family's grocery shopping and on occasion the family will host a small dinner party (post COVID) for friends and family, which the chef should be comfortable cooking for. For large special events or occasions, the family will hire a catering company and the chef will have the option to help or take the time off since it will most likely occur on the weekend which is the chef’s days off.
Those interested in the position should not have any other major commitments and should consider this their full-time job and first priority. Chef candidates must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working under the family's estate manger and able to work as a team player with the family's other household staff.
