Description
Busy family of five is in need of a FT Executive Housekeeper “EH” to start ASAP. The family has just relocated to Austin from London and they need someone who is available to start as early as March 8, 2021. Candidates should be comfortable around 2 hypoallergenic cats and be able to pet and house sit when the family is traveling abroad.
The EH’s work schedule is Monday-Friday 10am-6pm with occasional weekends when the couple is entertaining. Flexibility to stay later or come in earlier when needed is important.
The ideal candidate is drama-free and can work well as a team player and with the family’s nanny. We are looking for mature EH’s who have a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience, a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families, a positive attitude and great communication skills. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position and schedule for many years.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- All major housekeeping indoors and outdoors
- Family’s laundry & ironing
- Managing supplies (restocking, purchasing etc.)
- Assist other household staff as needed
- Deep cleaning
- Cooking for family
- Running errands
- House/pet sitting when family travels
- Household management
- Working with contractors and vendors
- Childcare if nanny is sick
One of the most important qualities in the EH is that they have a great attitude with a strong work ethic. The EH should be able to work alone, not have to be told what to do and be able to work around the family while giving them privacy. Other qualities include great organization and people skills. The EH is responsible for creating an environment of hard work, trust and respect as her role as the executive housekeeper and household manager.
