Description
Maryland based family is in need of a wonderful part-time Family Assistant “FA” who can help care for their 10-month old girl in Greenbelt (20770). The FA’s start date is ASAP. We are looking for a FA who is able to work 4pm-8pm M-F with the flexibility to help out on occasion over the weekends with advanced notice. If the hours are too late, the family is flexible to adjust the hours for the right person. While the family needs someone who can help out with childcare as needed, the main duties of the FA are centered on helping the parents manage their calendars as well as personal assistant and household domestic duties for them so they can spend more time with their baby girl.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Childcare for baby (all childcare related duties)
- Running errands (family will provide vehicle)
- Grocery shopping
- Light housekeeping by keeping the house tidy and organized
- Keeping the baby's room, toys, areas clean and organized
- Family’s laundry
- Cooking for the baby (and for the parents if comfortable)
- Calendar management
- Organizing the family’s schedules
- Occasional overnights with advanced notice
Most importantly the FA must be honest, love children and have experience with babies. The family needs someone reliable who will always be on time to work and who is able to manage the home and keep their baby safe and engaged when they are gone. Ideal candidates are very organized self-starters who have experience in executive/personal assistant duties. The parents want someone who will eventually be like a member of the family who has great communication skills and can really help organize their home and personal lives.
Lastly, the FA should be able to anticipate her responsibilities independently once she is familiar with her duties and the family’s needs. Since driving is required, FA candidates must have a clean driving record. 5+ years tenure in a current or previous position is preferred and infant care experience is a must, even if it’s non-professional.
