Description
Austin based family with a baby is in need of 3 FT, live-out executive housekeeper (EH) to start ASAP. The EH’s work schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional weekends when the couple is entertaining. Hours are 8am-4pm with minimal travel to other homes in the Austin area. The family gives very generous time and gas reimbursement for any driving to their other homes. Flexibility to stay later or come in earlier when needed is essential.
The ideal candidate is drama-free and can work well as a team player and under the family’s household manager and another EH. We are looking for EH’s who have a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience, a strong work ethic, long-term tenure with previous families, a positive attitude and great communication skills. Spanish speaking is a plus, but the housekeeper must be able to speak English and legally work in the US. Since this is a long-term position, we are looking for someone who can commit to this position and schedule for many years.
Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- All major housekeeping
- Managing outside housekeeper help (for deep cleaning)
- Laundry & ironing
- Managing supplies (restocking, purchasing etc.)
- Helping caterers during parties
- Assist other household staff as needed
- Deep cleaning
- Light cooking
- Organizing all areas of home
- Running errands
One of the most important qualities in the EH is that they have a great attitude with a strong work ethic. The EH should be able to work alone and around the family. Other qualities include great communication, organization and people skills. The EH is responsible for creating an environment of hard work, trust and respect as her role as the executive housekeeper.
This is a local and national search open to those with experience in a private estate as an Executive/Lead/Head Housekeeper. Long-term tenure in a current or previous position is required, as well as excellent verifiable references.
