Description
We are in search for a top Executive Housekeeper/Cook (EHC) for a mature couple in an 8,500 sq. ft. home. We are looking for experienced candidates who have extensive knowledge of the care and maintenance of valuables and fine art. The EHC should have expertise in how to use precise materials to clean and sanitize all interior and exterior surfaces: floors and counters etc. as well as knowledge for special maintenance of furniture art and antiques. Other duties include maintaining household appliances, refreshing clothes, caring for all laundry, as well as ironing and steaming clothes and linens.
Candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated
Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Start date is ASAP
Key responsibilities include:
- Meal prep and cooking
- All major household cleaning, organizing and maintenance
- Daily housekeeping tasks - load/unload dishwasher, empty waste bins, maintain common areas of home, make beds, change bedding regularly, refresh bathroom linens and toiletry items, etc.
- Light/moderate organizing and upkeep in all areas of the home
- Laundry - wash, fold, and iron (as needed) clothes and linens and keep laundry room neat and organized; manage dry cleaning items
- Grocery and household supply shopping
- Organizational projects (closets, drawers, etc.)
- Run errands as needed
- Available 24/7 for emergencies
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Some of the most important qualities in the EHC are having a positive attitude, a hard work ethic and who is friendly and happy to be around. The couple wants someone who will become like a family member over time as their previous housekeeper was with them for 20 years. Lastly, flexibility is also essential when the couple is entertaining in the evenings, as the EHC may need to help assist and direct the caterers and stay late. The right candidate will be energetic, fit and able to lift 50lbs. Younger candidates with formal training, who may lack the experience, will be considered.
